The UIS men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Sunday, sweeping Kentucky Wesleyan 7-0.
The Prairie Stars opened the match by securing the doubles point with a sweep across all three courts. At No. 1, Antonio Ayerbe Streubel and Pablo Herrera earned a 6-4 victory. Lukas Pieringer and Kai Van-Roon followed with a 6-2 win at No. 2, while Lin En Tan and Colton Pazdera completed the sweep with a 6-0 result at No. 3.
UIS carried that momentum into singles play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Pablo Herrera claimed a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while Antonio Ayerbe Streubel followed with a 6-2, 6-2 win. Lin En Tan added a 6-1, 6-0 result, and Kai Van-Roon was dominant in a 6-0, 6-0 performance. Lukas Pieringer earned a 6-3, 6-0 win, and Colton Pazdera closed out the sweep with a 6-3, 6-1 victory.
The Prairie Stars now look ahead to conference play, they'll open up Friday, April 17 at McKendree.
