UIS Baseball Stays at No. 25 in NCBWA Top 25

The UIS Baseball program is off to a strong 2026 start, holding steady at No. 25 in the NCBWA National Poll for the third consecutive week. The Prairie Stars have compiled a 15-6 overall record and are undefeated in conference play at 4-0 through one weekend, showing consistency on both sides of the ball. UIS is also receiving votes in the ABCA poll.

In the competitive Midwest region, UIS sits third behind Wayne State (16-2) and Grand Valley State (16-4). Other regional contendors include Quincy, Drury, Rockhurst, and Ashland, making this weekend's matchup with Drury particularly significant. Drury, currently fifth in the Midwest rankings, will test the Prairie Stars' early-season momentum as conference play heats up.

With a mix of experienced leaders and emerging talent, UIS Baseball keeping eyes on the national stage. The Prairie Stars hope to continue their winning streak and strengthen their standing as they head deeper into the GLVC schedule.
