Illinois Springfield senior
Madelyn Miller-Ross was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league office Wednesday afternoon.
At the John Thomas Terrier Classic on Jan. 30, Miller-Ross recorded a personal-best time of 16:28.26 in the 5,000 meters, finishing as the fastest Division II competitor in the event. Her performance currently ranks No. 1 in the GLVC and No. 12 nationally in Division II. That time is also another program record for the senior from East Moline, Ill.
Miller-Ross earns the honor for the second consecutive week, marking a back-to-back recognition and the third weekly award of her indoor track & field career. She previously claimed the distinction on Jan. 28, 2026, and Feb. 19, 2025.
