The Illinois Springfield women's track and field team will wrap up the indoor regular season Friday evening at the Illinois College Hilltop Classic in Jacksonville, Ill. The meet serves as the final tune-up before postseason competition as the Prairie Stars look to build momentum across the sprints, middle distance and throws.

UIS will have strong representation in the 60-meter dash, with freshmen Madelyn Festerling and Addison Wittenberg joined by sophomore Ellie Najarro in the open section.

The trio will also factor into the 200-meter dash, where Wittenberg, Festerling and Najarro are entered alongside sophomore Kalli Drexler, giving the Prairie Stars a versatile sprint group competing in multiple events.

Junior Kali Gaden is slated to compete in the 800 meters, providing experience and leadership in the middle-distance lineup.

In the field events, freshman Gigi Yurevich will represent the Prairie Stars in the shot put as she continues to gain experience during her first collegiate indoor campaign.
