The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision to Findlay on Sunday, with
Luke Pennington picking up a victory in No. 5 singles.
UIS fell at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles, but the No. 3 pairing of
Lukas Pieringer and
Antonio Ayerbe Streubel earned a 6-3 win.
In singles play,
Luke Pennington provided the lone point for the Stars with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 5. The freshman collected two singles victories over the weekend.
Pablo Herrera dropped a 6-3, 6-3 decision at No. 1, while Ayerbe Streubel was edged 6-4, 6-4 in one of the tighter matches of the day at No. 2.
Lin En Tan fell 6-0, 6-0, and
Kai Van-Roon won the opening set before dropping a three-set match, 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. Pieringer closed the day with a 6-2, 6-2 loss.
