There's never a dull moment on the Prairie, and this week is no exception as the Prairie Stars gear up for another busy stretch of competition. It's a big week of home basketball, with both the women's and men's teams hosting Lincoln and UMSL at TRAC, while Track & Field sends a duo to Boston for the John Thomas Terrier Classic. Tennis and Softball also officially kicks off their seasons.

1:00 p.m. – Women's Basketball vs. UMSL (HOME)
UIS faces a key conference rematch against the Tritons, who are undefeated in GLVC play (15-2 overall, 11-0 GLVC). The Prairie Stars fell 69-46 at UMSL in late November and will look to use the home-court advantage to turn the tide midseason. This matchup is an important opportunity for UIS to build on the season and challenge the top team in the conference.
3:00 p.m. – Men's Basketball vs. UMSL (HOME)
UIS faces its first conference rematch of the year. The Prairie Stars defeated UMSL 86-76 at UMSL in late November, launching a 6-0 GLVC start. UMSL (12-8, 6-5 GLVC) won 99-72 against crosstown rival Maryville last Saturday. UIS trails 6-19 all-time against UMSL but aims to continue the momentum from their November victory—the first road win over UMSL since 2018 and the first program win over them since 2022.
