Another challenging and exciting week awaits the Prairie Stars, who will spend the entire slate on the road. Both the UIS women's and men's basketball teams head to Missouri for key GLVC matchups at Drury and Missouri S&T, while the track and field program travels to Kentucky to compete in the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic.

Thursday, Jan. 22
5:45 p.m. – Women's Basketball at Drury
UIS (7-10, 4-5 GLVC) is coming off a stellar weekend with convincing wins over Rockhurst and Southwest Baptist. The Prairie Stars won by 50 points Thursday and 38 points Saturday, finishing the week with a 44-point scoring margin and building confidence after a big homestand. Drury (10-6, 7-2 GLVC) split last weekend, falling 68-65 to Maryville before earning an 83-80 win at McKendree. UIS has defeated Drury just once in program history, an 88-79 win in January 2024 against one of the GLVC's and Division II's historically strong programs.
7:45 p.m. – Men's Basketball at Drury
The Prairie Stars (11-6, 7-2 GLVC) split their home weekend, falling 84-56 to Rockhurst before rebounding with an 84-61 win over Southwest Baptist. Drury (8-9, 3-6 GLVC) earned its third conference win with a victory over Maryville but dropped an 89-76 decision at McKendree on Saturday. UIS trails Drury 15-7 in the all-time series but has won four of the last five meetings. Six of UIS' wins in the series have come under head coach

Friday, Jan. 23
All Day – Track & Field at the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic
The Prairie Stars compete in their second meet of the indoor season and will have their first opportunity to run the 5,000-meter event. Both the men's and women's squads will compete at former GLVC opponent Bellarmine in Louisville, Ky.
Saturday, Jan . 24
1:00 p.m. – Women's Basketball at Missouri S&TÂ
Missouri S&T (7-7, 3-5 GLVC) is coming off a two-loss weekend against conference leader UMSL and Maryville after entering the week even in league play. UIS leads the all-time series 16-4 and earned a 63-56 win in the matchup last season.
3:00 p.m. – Men's Basketball at No. 12 Missouri S&T
The Prairie Stars face a tough test against the No. 12 Miners (13-2, 7-1 GLVC), an NCAA Tournament team last season and one of the GLVC's ranked programs. Missouri S&T earned road wins at UMSL and Maryville over the weekend and will face McKendree prior to hosting UIS. The Prairie Stars lead the all-time series 16-4, including a 7-2 edge since Brock took over as head coach. Missouri S&T won last season's meeting 85-78.
5:30 p.m. – UIS First Pitch Event
UIS Baseball and Softball will kick off the 2026 seasons with the First Pitch Event at the UIS Student Union Ballroom, located on the top floor of the building northeast of TRAC. Former St. Louis Cardinal Jason Simontacchi will serve as the guest speaker, and registrants will have the opportunity to meet the teams and hear from the coaches.
