Riley Lloyd also recorded two shots on target. Goalkeeper
Gigi Yurevich made two saves in the match.
UIS finished with a 53% possession rate and a 5-4 edge in corner kicks but couldn't break through against SBU goalkeeper Cece Alexander, who posted the shutout with four saves.
"It was a tough loss today as the team worked very hard together," said head coach
Scott Myers. "We did a lot of things well and corrected some of the mistakes from Friday. We created plenty of chances, but just struggled to put one away. Wins on the road in conference play are hard to come by, and we let this one slip away. We'll learn from it and be ready to get back at it when we return home next Friday."
