Illinois Springfield senior cross country runner Madelyn Miller-Ross has been selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Athletic Solutions Runner of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday.

Miller-Ross claimed the individual title at the 10th Annual UIS Prairie Stars Invitational on Sept. 5, finishing first in a field of 88 runners. She posted a personal-best time of 18:01.07, setting a new UIS Cross Country Course women's 5K record and leading the Prairie Stars to the team championship with 19 points.

The East Moline, Ill., native earns her third career GLVC Runner of the Week honor (9/11/24, 9/13/23).

With the regular season underway, Miller-Ross continues to lead a UIS team that was picked third in the GLVC preseason poll of league head coaches.
