The Illinois Springfield men's tennis team fell 5-2 to Purdue Northwest on Friday afternoon. Despite the loss, Pablo Herrera and Lukas Pieringer secured points for the Prairie Stars in singles play.

• The Pride swept the doubles matches to take an early 1-0 lead. UIS fought hard but came up short in all three matchups, falling 6-2, 6-3, and 6-4.
• In singles play, Pablo Herrera delivered a hard-fought victory at No. 2, winning 7-5, 6-4.
• Lukas Pieringer added another point for UIS at No. 5 after his opponent retired with Pieringer leading 3-2.
• Viktor Karpati (No. 1) fell 6-0, 6-2, while Antonio Ayerbe Streubel (No. 3) dropped his match 6-3, 6-3. Lin En Tan (No. 4) and Jorge Roman (No. 6) also suffered defeats, with scores of 6-2, 6-2 and 6-2, 6-1, respectively.
