This week will feature GLVC soccer action, the Midwest Region Crossover in volleyball, and more Prairie Star competition across multiple additional sports.

Thursday, Oct. 16
2:00 p.m. – Baseball vs. Lincoln Land (HOME)
The UIS baseball team hosts LLCC for a fall scrimmage.

Friday, Oct. 17
All Day – Women's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
The UIS women's tennis team will compete at the Dwight Davis College Open at Forest Park in St. Louis. Play begins Friday afternoon around 4 p.m., followed by a full day of matches on Saturday and final rounds on Sunday.

All Day – Men's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
The UIS men's tennis team will also take part in the Dwight Davis College Open in St. Louis, following the same format as the women's side.

11:30 a.m. – Volleyball vs. Lake Superior State (Midwest Region Crossover)
The Prairie Stars (7-9, 1-5 GLVC) split last weekend with a win over William Jewell and a loss to Rockhurst. Match times and opponents have been announced for the weekend tournament in Hammond, Ind., where UIS will face Lake Superior State at 11:30 a.m. Friday. LSSU is 0-12 overall and 0-8 in GLIAC play. UIS and LSSU are 1-1 all-time, with matches dating back over a decade. Lake Superior State is currently ranked No. 10 in the GLIAC, matching UIS's No. 10 ranking in the GLVC.

12:00 p.m. – Baseball vs. Heartland Community College (HOME)
The UIS baseball team hosts Heartland Community College for a fall scrimmage at home as part of its alumni weekend. 

5:00 p.m. – Women's Soccer vs. Maryville (HOME)
Coming off a strong 2-0 weekend with wins at Lincoln and UMSL, the Prairie Stars (3-6-3, 2-5-2 GLVC) return home for their annual #WeAreStars game. Maryville (6-1-4, 4-1-3 GLVC) went 0-1-1 last weekend, including a 4-1 loss to McKendree. The Saints lead the all-time series with UIS 11-4, including a matchup in the GLVC Championship Final.

6:00 p.m. – Softball at Illinois State University
The UIS softball team travels to Bloomington for a fall exhibition at Illinois State.

7:30 p.m. – Men's Soccer vs. Maryville (HOME)
UIS (2-7-3, 1-6-2 GLVC) battled hard last weekend, earning a draw with No. 20 Lincoln and falling 2-0 at UMSL despite several quality chances. Maryville (6-4-1, 5-3 GLVC) comes in after a 5-1 win over UMSL and a 1-0 win against McKendree. UIS leads the all-time series 9-7-1.

Saturday, Oct. 18
All Day – Women's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
Action continues for the Prairie Stars in St. Louis.

All Day – Men's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
The UIS men's tennis team continues play at the Dwight Davis College Open.

9:30 a.m. – Volleyball vs. Tiffin (Midwest Region Crossover)
Tiffin (2-11, 0-7 GMAC) enters the tournament on a seven-match losing streak, last recording a win over Wheeling in mid-September. This will be a matchup of the No. 10 teams in the GMAC and GLVC. UIS leads the all-time series 3-1, having won the last two meetings in 2019, while the first two matches occurred over a decade ago.

2:00 p.m. – Volleyball vs. Kentucky Wesleyan (Midwest Region Crossover)
UIS already faced Kentucky Wesleyan (1-13, 0-7 GMAC) earlier this season, winning 3-0. KWC's lone win came in mid-September against Point Park. UIS leads the all-time series 6-2. Kentucky Wesleyan is currently ranked No. 12 in the GMAC.

Sunday, Oct. 19
All Day – Women's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
Final rounds of the Dwight Davis College Open in St. Louis.

All Day – Men's Tennis at Dwight Davis College Open
The UIS men's tennis team concludes competition at the Dwight Davis College Open.

12:00 p.m. – Women's Soccer vs. McKendree (HOME)
The Prairie Stars host McKendree (6-1-4, 6-1-1 GLVC) in a Sunday matchup at Kiwanis Stadium. The Bearcats split their most recent weekend, defeating Lincoln 9-0 before falling 1-0 at UMSL.

2:30 p.m. – Men's Soccer vs. McKendree (HOME)
The UIS men's team closes the weekend against McKendree (4-3-4, 4-1-3 GLVC). The Bearcats earned draws with Lincoln (1-1) and UMSL (0-0) in their last two matches. McKendree leads the all-time series 11-6-4.
