The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team is seeded third in the GLVC's East Division for the 2024 GLVC Men's Tennis Championship Tournament. The Prairie Stars will face the Southwest Baptist Bearcats, seeded second in the West Division, in the quarterfinal round.

It will be a rematch of the 2023 quarterfinal round, which SBU won 4-0. The #1W Bearcats went on to defeat the #3W Drury Panthers before dropping the championship match to the #1E Indianapolis Greyhounds.

Southwest Baptist won 5-2 against the Prairie Stars in a non-conference matchup at the start of the 2024 season. Pablo Herrera and Kai Van-Roon won their doubles match 6-3, but UIS failed to claim the doubles point by dropping the No. 1 doubles match 7-5, and the No. 2 doubles match 6-2. Pablo Herrera and Matthew Lapsley won singles matches against SBU, both in three sets.

UIS men's tennis has an overall record of 10-5, and earned a spot in the GLVC tournament with a 3-2 record against GLVC opponents.
