No. 17 Men's Soccer Earns Draw with No. 6 Parkside

The UIS men's soccer team earned its second consecutive tie when it met the No. 6 ranked Wisconsin-Parkside Rangers on Thursday. 

The first half was a stalemate in which the Prairie Stars attempted eight shots, five that resulted in saves for Parkside goalkeeper Daniyal Rana.

The offenses pressed as time wound down. UIS registered eleven more shots in the second half, outshooting the Rangers 19-6 over 90 minutes. Riccardo Sandulli's attempt just minutes into the second half would prove successful to put the Prairie Stars ahead 1-0. Parkside midfielder Bryan Torres scored the equalizer five minutes later.

Offense
Riccardo Sandulli tallied three shots and scored his first goal as a Prairie Star. Sergio Crescenzi had the assist. Joe Conway attempted three shots, with all three on goal, while Max Tweddle attempted four times, twice on goal.

Defense
Goalkeeper Andrea Scapolo faced six shots in his UIS debut, allowing one goal but coming away with three saves.
