The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team will travel to Denton, Texas to compete in the 2023 Denton Volleyfest on the campus of Texas Woman's University. The Prairie Stars begin the tournament on Thursday night at 5:00 p.m against Augustana (SD).
At the Denton Volleyfest, UIS will meet four NCAA DII opponents from outside the Midwest Region;Â Augustana (SD), Ouachita Baptist, Arkansas Monticello, and Central Oklahoma. The times and schedule for UIS at the tournament can be found

UIS is coming off a 1-2 weekend at the Capital Classic with a win in straight sets against Arkansas Tech to finish the opening weekend tournament. In the three matches played,
Eirini Glynou had an impressive 48 kills with 35 digs.
Amanda McConnell once again showed why she has the third-most digs in school history, as she recorded another 47 during the weekend.
Augustana (SD) will look for their first win of the 2023 season as they went 0-4 at the Oredigger Classic in Colorado. Ouachita Baptist comes into the Denton Volleyfest with a 1-3 record after competing at the A&M-Kingsville Invitational in Texas last weekend. Their lone win came against Colorado State-Pueblo, 3-2. Arkansas Monticello comes into the weekend with an 0-4 record after hosting the Blossom Classic Tournament. Finally, Central Oklahoma enters the weekend 4-0 while only dropping one set at the Midwestern State Invitational.
