The UIS Women's Soccer team finished their weekend at home with a 2-0 loss to Northern Michigan. Two second half goals from Northern Michigan pushed the Wildcats' record to a 4-0 start on the season.
The game was played evenly throughout, with both teams registering 11 shots. UIS recorded 3 shots on goal while Northern Michigan rattled off 10 shots on goal. Carolyne Mathenia, Madison Grandys, and Maggie Joos all registered one shot on goal. Both teams had 9 corner kicks during the match while UIS goalkeeper, Allison Mirimanian, made 7 saves on the day.
The Prairie Stars are still searching for the first win of the year (0-1-3) as the GLVC season begins next weekend. The Stars host regionally-ranked Maryville on Friday and welcome Missouri S&T on Sunday.
