The University of Illinois Springfield put up a fight against No. 7 Indianapolis on Friday but fell 4-2. 

UIS was victorious in No. 3 and No. 5 singles against the Greyhounds. Marianela Landi took it to a third set in the No. 3 spot and won 3-6, 6-4, 7-6. Franca Bucco also picked up a singles win by opponent retirement (0-6, 4-1, WR). Eva Rubio fell in a hard fought 2-6, 5-7 No. 2 singles match. 

The Indianapolis Greyhounds took the doubles point in a clean sweep. UIndy maintains a perfect GLVC record with one weekend remaining in the regular season. 

Up next for the Prairie Stars is a weekend in St. Louis in which they will face Missouri-St. Louis on Friday and Maryville on Saturday.
