The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team (4-9) was taken down by the #2W seeded Bearcats of Southwest Baptist University in the GLVC Championship Quarterfinals by a score of 4-0 Friday afternoon. 

Eva Rubio took her No. 2 singles opponent to three sets after a 7-6 start but dropped the match. SBU came away with the doubles point and three singles matches to complete the sweep.

The match ended the season for the Prairie Stars (4-9), while SBU is 13-9 and will advance to face #1E Indianapolis.
