The University of Illinois Springfield softball team fell to the No. 9 ranked Indianapolis Greyhounds by scores of 9-1 and 5-3.
GAME ONE
Isabella Wilson recorded two of the three hits made by the Prairie Stars in the first game of the day. Olivia Deluca had one hit and one run. UIS scored on a bases-loaded walk in the fourth inning to make it a 2-1 game. Indianapolis scored three runs in each of the next two innings, and one in the seventh.
Taylor Zawacki recorded 13 strikeouts but fell to 5-6 on the season.
GAME TWO
Reagan Miles allowed just five hits and three runs in her six innings of game two. Miles recorded a season high of nine strikeouts and her 60th strikeout of the season.
Indianapolis scored two runs in the top of the first and left UIS scoreless until the bottom of the third. The Prairie Stars offense tallied nine hits, three of which belonged to
Isabella Wilson. Wilson recorded two doubles and a single with one RBI on each hit.
The Prairie Stars are set to face McKendree on Sunday in their third conference doubleheader of the week.
