The University of Illinois Springfield tennis program will host GLVC opponents at the Springfield Racquet and Fitness Center on Thursday and Saturday this week. 

UIS competed last in the beginning of March when the men's and women's teams swept Lewis & Clark. The UIS men also hosted Hillsdale that weekend, falling 5-2. The Prairie Stars tennis teams are both 1-3 this spring. 

In their first competition of the week, UIS will host Southwest Baptist on Thursday. SBU men's tennis is 9-7, and is coming off of a sweep over the Missouri St. Louis Tritons. The Southwest Baptist women's tennis team is 5-8 and defeated Missouri-St. Louis this past weekend. 

UIS will then face the Drury Panthers on Saturday. Drury's men's team is 5-3 after sweeping McKendree in their most recent competition. Drury women's tennis is 6-4, and has defeated both Maryville and McKendree this spring.
