The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will begin their season at the GLIAC/GLVC Crossover this weekend in Hammond, Indiana. The Prairie Stars face Tiffin on Friday at 5 p.m. and Hillsdale on Saturday at 1:00 p.m.
UIS
These are the first games of the season for a new-look UIS team. The Prairie Stars were tabbed to finish 13th in the GLVC. This year's team is filled with exciting players, including incoming transfers and freshmen making up most of the roster.
Tiffin
The game against UIS on Friday will be the Dragons' first of the year. The Dragons were picked to finish 12th in the GMAC Preseason Poll after finishing the 2022-23 season with an 8-21 overall record, and 5-15 conference mark.
Hillsdale
This is the first weekend of the season for Hillsdale also. The Chargers play host institution, Purdue Northwest, on Friday at 7:00 p.m. to begin their season. The Chargers were picked to finish 8th in the GMAC Preseason Poll. Hillsdale finished the 2022-23 season with a 17-14 overall record, and a 10-10 record in GMAC play.

Every game will be streamed on JEDtv. You can follow the action here live. Fans who plan to attend in person are able to purchase tickets here. All games will be played on John Friend Court on the campus of Purdue Northwest.
