Women’s Basketball Meets Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday

Prairie Stars women's basketball is set to meet the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers in a road game on Monday. The in-region matchup comes as the Prairie Stars take a break from GLVC play.

UIS is off to a 3-1 start after dropping a conference game to the Rockhurst Hawks last Wednesday.

Jessenia Lawson is the team's current leading scorer with 73 points, an average of 18.3 per game. Three additional Prairie Stars are averaging above 10 points per game: Liz Uhl (13.5), Michaela Gibbons (12.3), and Jazlynn Givens (11.3).

The Panthers are also 3-1 overall after starting the season with a loss to Drury before defeating Southwest Baptist, Simmons College, and Kentucky State.
