The University of Illinois Springfield softball team suffered a pair of losses on the final day of the regular season. The Prairie Stars fell on the road at Drury by scores of 4-0 and 10-2.

In the opener, Drury's pitcher gave up just two singles to the Prairie Stars in a shutout victory. Both hits for the Prairie Stars were off the bat of
Carly Chovanec. The Panthers scored three times in the second and added one more in the third.
Addyson McClure threw the final three innings for UIS and allowed just two hits and no runs.

UIS struck first in the game two with a run in the first inning. The Panthers took the lead back in the bottom half of the inning, and scored eight times early in the game to pull away.

Ella Brinkley had both of UIS's runs in the game.
Danielle Dennis had a pair of hits, and
Jillian Mathis had the team's lone RBI.

UIS finishes the regular season with a 31-18 record, and it finished sixth in the GLVC with a 15-13 mark. The field for the 2022 GLVC Championships will be announced on Monday.
