The University of Illinois Springfield men's golf team finished 12th at the 2022 GLVC Championships, which was held Friday and Saturday in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
The Prairie Stars improved each round at the event, going from a 316 in the first round to a 307 in the second round. The squad finished with a 934 for the 54-hole event.
 
Hagen Sanchez had the highest individual finish, coming in 36th. He shot an even-par 72 for the first 18 holes, and then followed it with back-to-back rounds of 79. His 230 total was three shots better than teammate Spencer Jury. Jury had rounds of 79, 78, and 76, and he led the team with nine birdies.
 
Brady Wilson led the Prairie Stars in rounds two and three after shooting 76 and 75 respectively. He finished with a total of 234. Tom Bumann scored an 80 for the tournament, including a 78 in the second round. Aryaman Mohan finished with a 247, including a 77 for the final round.
