The University of Illinois Springfield softball team fell late in two games with Missouri-St. Louis on Monday afternoon at LOLJOS. The Prairie Stars fell by scores of 9-4 in both games.

In the opener, UIS led through three innings, but Missouri-St. Louis rallied to tie the game in the fourth. The Tritons then broke up the game with seven more runs over the final two innings.

Zoie Bowman had two hits and two RBI in the game, including a solo homer.
Danielle Dennis also had two hits and the team's other RBI.

UIS trailed 4-0 in the bottom of the seventh of game two, but rallied to send the game into extra innings. Missouri-St. Louis scored five times in the ninth though for the victory.

Kayana Diederich had the big hit in the seventh with a two-out RBI single to tie the contest.
Ramsey Armstrong had two hits and also drove in a run.
Ella Brinkley,
Carly Chovanec, and Dennis all had one hit and one walk.

UIS is now 14-8 on the season and 0-4 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars return to non-conference action on Thursday at LOLJOS when they host Minnesota State Moorhead at 2 p.m.
