The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will celebrate one of its top senior classes on Saturday, and also has an important basketball game against Rockhurst.

UIS is attempting to stay in the top-eight in the GLVC in order to host a first-round GLVC Tournament game. The Prairie Stars are currently sixth, just one spot ahead of Rockhurst.

On Thursday, UIS fell to Southwest Baptist by a 52-51 score. Rockhurst also lost that night by a 60-53 margin against Quincy.

Back on Jan. 31, UIS defeated Rockhurst by an 82-68 score in Kansas City. The Prairie Stars set a schol record with 35 made free throws in 43 attempts. Lauren Ladowski made 12 of those free throws and had a team-high 24 points.
