The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team starts its final two weeks of the regular season on Thursday night. The Prairie Stars will be hosting Southwest Baptist at TRAC.

UIS has won seven out of its last eight games. The latest victory was a road win over Truman State on Saturday by a 60-46 score.

Southwest Baptist has been victorious in two out of its last three contests. The loss came on Saturday when it fell to Southern Indiana by a 70-48 margin.

The Prairie Stars and Bearcats are both in the running to host a first round GLVC Tournament game. UIS ranks sixth in the league's point system, while Southwest Baptist is ninth. Seeds second through eight will host a first-round game.
