The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team continues its best season in 23 years on Saturday afternoon when it travels to Kirksville, Mo. to take on Truman State at 1 p.m.

UIS defeated William Jewell by a 72-57 margin on Thursday. That win clinched a winning season for the Prairie Stars, their first since the 1998-99 year. 

Truman State was also victorious on Thursday, defeating Quincy by a 58-48 score.

In the conference's Point Rating System, Truman is fourth overall, while UIS is seventh.

UIS and Truman are two of the top offenses in the GLVC. The Prairie Stars average 70.1 points per game, 1.2 behind Truman State.
