The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team took down #13 Lewis in three sets Friday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars won by scores of 25-20, 25-23, and 25-19. It was the first Prairie Stars win over the Lewis Flyers in program history.

The Lewis University Flyers were ranked No. 13 in the most recent American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) poll. 

UIS led for the entirety of the first set against Lewis. Angela Denney led the offense with 15 kills and Amanda McConnell led the defense with 17 digs.

UIS improves to 6-8 on the year and 2-3 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars will travel to Quincy next Friday for their next match.
