The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will go for the season sweep over McKendree this weekend. The two teams will play in Lebanon, Ill. on Saturday afternoon.

Earlier this season, UIS played one of its best games of the year in an 81-51 victory over the Bearcats. Liz Uhl scored 19 points, and the Prairie Stars defense forced 20 turnover and held McKendree to just 36 percent shooting.

UIS enters the rematch with an 8-6 overall record and a 3-5 GLVC mark. The Prairie Stars fell to nationally-ranked Southern Indiana on Thursday by an 88-80 score.

McKendree is currently 2-12 overall and 1-6 in the GLVC. The Bearcats fell to Quincy on Thursday night by a narrow 51-48 margin.
