Women's Basketball Starts Busy Stretch On Thursday At Lindenwood

The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team starts a stretch of three games in five days this Thursday. The Prairie Stars will be in St. Charles, Mo. that night to take on Lindenwood.

UIS enters play this week with a 7-3 overall record, and a 2-2 GLVC mark. The Prairie Stars are coming off a 65-54 loss to No. 1 Drury last weekend. 

Lindenwood is 5-5 this season, including 2-1 in the conference. The Lions have not played since a 75-59 victory over Michigan Tech on Dec. 19. Lindenwood has won three straight, and five out of its last six contests.

Lindenwood is the top rebounding team in the GLVC with a +11.4 rebounding margin. UIS has won the rebounding battle in eight of its ten games this season, including in each of its last five.
