The University of Illinois Springfield Athletics Department will launch its fourth annual UIS Athletics Crowdfunding campaign on Monday, September 20 to meet the current and ongoing needs of college athletics. Friends, family, alumni, and fans will have the opportunity to donate through October 24.
The UIS Athletics Crowdfunding campaign will provide Prairie Stars supporters a platform to directly support the sport programs most meaningful to them and have a lasting impact. Each team has a dedicated webpage that shares their specific fundraising goals and priorities while visually displaying the progress of their campaign. In addition, each team page offers a "Protect The Prairie" section which highlights all of the generous donors that made a gift to their program.
"We are looking forward to enhancing the student- athlete experience this season through crowdfunding," said women's basketball head coach
Casey Thousand. "We are making improvements not just on the court but continuing to grow in all aspects of our program. We thank everyone who has contributed and continues to help our program develop to be the best we can be."
Prairie Star supporters can help increase the visibility of the campaign by sharing the crowdfunding link on their own social media. This will help the UIS teams continue to work towards competitive success, academic achievements, and community outreach.
