The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team gave Indianapolis a good fight on Saturday at TRAC, but the Prairie Stars fell in four sets. The scores during the Senior Day match were 25-23, 20-25, 25-21, and 28-26.

UIS celebrated two four-year players in
Kenzie Hendon and
Brianna Bush before the match. Both contributed in the contest which was decided by a pair of two-point decisions going Indianapolis' way in sets one and four.

Hendon had a double-double with 13 kills and a team-high 20 digs. She also had two blocks and 15 points. Bush was used as a serving specialist, and helped the Prairie Stars score seven points in nine serving rotations. She had one ace and six digs overall.

UIS got a big game offensively from
Delainee Gibson. Gibson had 13 kills in 17 swings, and finished with a .706 attack percentage.
Hannah Nicolaisen led the team with 15 kills, and
Megan Krasowski just missed double-figures with nine. Becca Blakely had 47 assists, the most by a Prairie Star player this season.

Defensively, four players had double-figure digs. Besides Bush, Nicolaisen had 16 to complete her double-double,
Amanda McConnell collected 15, and Blakely had 10.
Zanea Spencer had a hand in five of the team's seven blocks.

UIS ends its season with a 3-16 overall record, including a 3-15 mark in GLVC play.
