The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team fell to Truman State in a non-conference match on Tuesday afternoon at TRAC. The scores of the match were 30-28, 25-18, and 25-22.

Hannah Nicolaisen had a big match for UIS with 16 kills, 40 percent of the team's total on the day. She also led the team with 17 digs, and had three blocks.

Nicolaisen had six kills in the first set which went down to the wire. UIS killed off five set points before the Bulldogs were able to get the game one win. Truman took a big lead in the middle of set two and won it by seven points. The final set was close down the stretch like the first, but the Bulldogs ended the match by winning four of the final five points.

Brianna Bush was second behind Nicolaisen with eight kills.
Regan Trueblood had 26 assists in two sets, and
Becca Blakeley had nine assist in one set.
Zanea Spencer had four blocks in the match, and
Kenzie Hendon and
Amanda McConnell each had double-figure dig totals.

UIS falls to 2-9 on the season. The Prairie Stars will host a GLVC Triangular on Saturday with Rockhurst and Maryville travelling to TRAC.
