The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team is in a tight battle for one of the final spots in the GLVC Tournament. The Prairie Stars will look to add to their win total on Saturday with a 1 p.m. game at Quincy.

UIS is coming off an 83-74 loss at Lindenwood on Tuesday night. The Prairie Stars are 2-2 over their last four games.

Quincy upset nationally-ranked Southern Indiana on Thursday night by a 69-61 score. The Hawks are also 2-2 in their last four contests.

In the season opener, UIS defeated Quincy by a 76-75 score. Malea Jackson grabbed an offensive rebound and scored the game-winner with one second left. The Prairie Stars won the rebounding battle 51-40, and they had a 42-20 advantage in points in the paint.
