The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team split two matches on Sunday at the Quincy Triangular. The Prairie Stars defeated Southwest Baptist before falling to No. 21 Quincy.

UIS hit a season-high .281 in the Southwest Baptist match and won by scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-19.

Hannah Nicolaisen led the offense with 12 kills and a .409 hitting percentage.
Kenzie Hendon put down nine attacks, and
Regan Trueblood had 17 assists. Defensively, Hendon had a team-high 13 digs, followed by Nicolaisen with 11 and
Amanda McConnell with 10.
Brianna Bush had two blocks.

The Prairie Stars couldn't slow down Quincy's offense in the second match as the Hawks hit .324. That helped the Hawks win by scores of 25-20, 25-18, and 25-19.

Hendon had a team-high nine kills, followed by Bush and Nicolaisen with seven apiece. Becca Blakely was the assists leader with 16. McConnell dug up nine balls, and Bush and Nicolaisen had four blocks apiece.

UIS is now 2-6 on the season. The Prairie Stars are back in action next Friday at the Drury Triangular where they will face Drury and Lindenwood.
