Men's Tennis Improves To 2-0 With Saturday's Victory Over Purdue Northwest

Box Score The University of Illinois Springfield men's tennis team moved to 2-0 on the season with a 5-2 win at Purdue Northwest on Saturday.
 
Matthew Lapsley and Alex Chan led the team by winning both of their single and doubles matches. Lapsley teamed up with Nick Revin for a 6-1 win at No. 2 doubles, and he then won his No. 6 singles match by scores of 6-4 and 6-2. Chan won his No. 4 singles match in straight sets, and also won his No. 3 doubles match by a 6-4 score with Oscar Toro.
 
Menno Servaes won the No. 1 singles match by scores of 6-2 and 6-1. The other winner was Rafa Rojas who won No. 5 singles by an identical 6-2 and 6-1 score.
 
UIS will be in action again on Sunday, March 7, when it hosts Michigan Tech.
