The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team lost a shootout on Thursday night at TRAC. The Prairie Stars were outscored by Southern Indiana by a 98-85 score.

UIS shot 44.6 percent from the field, including 54.3 percent in the second half. The Prairie Stars scored 31 points in the fourth quarter, but couldn't cut the final deficit to single digits.

Jalyn Harris had a double-double for UIS with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Liz Uhl led the team with 15 points, followed by
Lauren Ladowski with 13 and
Malea Jackson and
Ally Gietzel with 12 apiece. Ladowski had eight assists, Gietzel recorded three steals, and Harris blocked three shots.

UIS falls to 5-2 on the season and 1-1 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars head to Indianapolis on Saturday for their first GLVC road game of the season.
