The University of Illinois Springfield cross country program concluded its season today at the NCAA Division II National Championships in Saint Leo, Fla. The Prairie Stars had a record three individuals competing at the meet.

Taryn Christy was making her second straight appearance on the women's side. She finished 149th out of the 250 runners that completed the course. She had a time of 22:47 in the 6,000m course. She was 159th halfway through the race, and jumped 10 spots over the final 3,000m.
 
On the men's side, Blake Jones and Wyatt McIntyre both qualified for the national meet, but the two runners had to pull out of the competition before the end of the race. Jones was making his second national appearances, and McIntyre qualified for the first time.
