The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team will take a 2-0 record into a tough road test on Tuesday evening. The Prairie Stars travel to Kentucky Wesleyan for a 5:30 p.m. game.

The Prairie Stars opened the season last week with wins over Purdue Northwest and Tiffin. UIS allowed just 51 points a game. Opponents shot 33.7 percent from the field, and had 21 turnovers a game.Â

Kentucky Wesleyan is also 2-0, with both wins coming against GLVC programs. The Panthers defeated Southwest Baptist and No. 2 Drury. They averaged 75.5 points, including 38.5 points a game from the duo of Tahlia Walton and Cali Nolot.Â

Kentucky Wesleyan has won all six meetings against UIS, including three games in Owensboro. The last meeting came in 2019 when the Panthers won 77-66 in Springfield, Ill.Â
