The Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) announced the bracket for next week's GLVC Postseason Tournament. The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team will be the seventh-seed in the event, and will face second-seed Missouri-St. Louis in the first round.

The conference championship tournament will take place on Nov. 19-21 in East Peoria, Ill. The Prairie Stars will face the Tritons on Friday at 5:30 p.m.

UIS was the most improved team in the conference this season under first-year head coach
Kamille Jones. The Prairie Stars finished the regular season with a 14-15 overall record, and they tied for seventh in the conference standings with a 10-8 mark. UIS finished the year with four wins in their last five matches, all of them coming on the road.

Missouri-St. Louis will enter postseason play with a 22-7 overall record, and it went 15-3 in conference action. The Tritons have won seven out of their last eight matches.

On the first day of GLVC play this season, Missouri-St. Louis defeated Illinois Springfield by scores of 21-25, 25-21, 25-16, and 25-20. UIS held the Tritons to a .155 hitting mark, but it hit just over .100.
Hannah Nicolaisen led the Prairie Stars with 13 kills, and
Amanda McConnell had 32 digs.

The winner of the UIS/Missouri-St. Louis match will take on the winner of the Rockhurst/Southern Indiana on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. The other side of the bracket will see Lewis face Indianapolis, and Missouri S&T taking on Quincy, in the first round. The championship match will be at noon on Sunday, November 21.
