The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team took Southern Indiana to five sets on Friday night at TRAC, but the Prairie Stars fell to the Screaming Eagles. The score of the match was 23-25, 25-21, 25-16, 23-25, and 15-12.

In the final set, UIS led 8-7, but Southern Indiana went on a 6-3 run to take control. The Prairie Stars got within one at 13-12, but a kill and block by the Screaming Eagles ended the match.

Southern Indiana hit .231 for the match, compared to .144 for UIS. The visitors also had 27 extra points.

Megan Krasowski led the Prairie Stars with 13 kills, one more than
Ryleigh Warfel.
Becca Blakeley had 38 assists. Defensively,
Amanda McConnell led the team with 21 digs.
Angela Denney and Blakeley also had double-figure dig totals.
Hannah Nicolaisen led the team with five blocks, and Krasowski had a pair of service aces.

UIS falls to 8-13 overall and 4-6 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars are back in action next Friday at home against Drury.
