The University of Illinois Springfield volleyball team had a quick start on Saturday at TRAC and did not let up for the entire match. The result was a 25-12, 25-18, and 25-12 sweep over Maryville.

UIS finished with a .400 hitting percentage for the match, including having just four attack errors the entire match. Defensively, it held Maryville to a .068 mark, and the Saints averaged just 11 points per set. UIS was especially dominant when Maryville was serving. It had a 0.72 sideout percentage, including going 11-for-12 in sideout opportunities in the third set.

Angela Denney led a balanced offense with nine kills and no errors in 26 attempts.
Hannah Nicolaisen and
Megan Krasowski both had eight kills and neither player had an error as well.
Ryleigh Warfel finished with seven kills.
Becca Blakeley collected 30 assists.
Amanda McConnell led the team in digs with 13, and
Brianna Bush and Krasowski both had five blocks.

UIS completed its homestand with a perfect 4-0 record, and it won 12 of 15 sets in that stretch. The Prairie Stars are 6-8 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They are in action again on Tuesday night at nationally-ranked Lewis.
