The University of Illinois Springfield women's tennis team dropped a home match on Saturday afternoon in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars fell to Missouri Western by a 6-1 margin.

UIS's lone point came at No. 6 singles where
Hannah Blythe defeated her opponent in a tiebreaker. The two players were tied at eight, and Blythe won the tiebreaker by a 7-2 score.

The Prairie Stars dropped the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles matches, and No. 1 was unfinished after the two teams were tied at five. UIS had chances to score at No. 3 and No. 4 singles, where

Jasmine Cortez both won their first sets, but the Griffons came back to win both of those matches.

UIS falls to 3-3 on the year. The Prairie Stars are in action again on Friday, March 20, when they host Missouri-St. Louis at Glenwood High School.
