The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team kicks off a road trip on Thursday in Bolivar, Mo. The Prairie Stars will face Southwest Baptist at 5:30 p.m.

UIS is looking for its eighth win of the season, which would match last year's total. It couldn't get win number eight last time out with a 66-56 loss against Indianapolis.

Southwest Baptist has won two straight games, including a 74-62 victory over Missouri S&T on Saturday afternoon.

The game between the Prairie Stars and Bearcats could be decided at the three-point line. Southwest Baptist makes over eight three-pointers a game, while UIS is in the upper half of the league in three-point field-goal percentage defense.
