The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team takes on GLVC leader Truman State on Thursday night in Kirksville, Mo. The Prairie Stars and Bulldogs will tip off at 5:30 p.m.

UIS is currently 6-7 overall and 1-4 in the GLVC play. The Prairie Stars split two home games last week, with a 71-46 victory over William Jewell, and a 75-68 loss at Rockhurst.

Truman State is in a three-way tie for first in the league with a 5-0 mark. Most recently, the team hit a last-second shot for a 78-77 win over Maryville on Saturday.

Illinois Springfield has one of the top defenses in the GLVC, allowing 64.2 points in conference play. Truman State enters with one of the top offense in the league, averaging 83.8 points in GLVC games.
