The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team opened up the 2019 season with a setback against the No. 18 team in NCAA Division II. The Prairie Stars fell at Tiffin by a 3-0 margin.

Tiffin scored in the fourth minute and had the advantage for the rest of the match. The Dragons added two more goals in the first part of the second half to clinch the victory. The Prairie Stars had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

UIS will be in action again at its home opener on Monday at noon. The Prairie Stars will take on Purdue Northwest at Kiwanis Stadium.
