The University of Illinois Springfield cross country teams both swept team and individual titles on Friday afternoon in Springfield, Ill. at the UIS Prairie Stars Invitational.

The men's team captured the top-four places, and seven out of the top-10 individual finishes. The Prairie Stars finished with 17 points, defeating Millikin by nearly 40 points.

Tyler Pasley won his second straight UIS Invitational title. He finished with a 7,000m time of 22:25.30. Just fractions of a second later,
Tyler Hiserote,
Blake Jones, and
Wyatt McIntyre also finishes.
Ryan Stark came in seventh with a time of 23:00, followed closely by
Spencer Mauch. Brendan Kroeget had a ninth-place finish.

The women's team had the three-fastest times, and added two more players in the top-11. It had 24 points, knocking off second-place Millikin who had 39 points.

Taryn Christy was also a repeat individual winner. She won the competition by nearly a minute with a 5,000m time of 18:41.07.
Savannah Brannan and
Gloria Esarco both finished under 19:37 for a second and third-place showing.
Morgan Suttles was seventh with a mark of 20:24.78, and
Kelsey Cleary was 11th with a mark of 20:41.08.

UIS will be back in action next Friday at the Spartan Invitational in East Lansing, Mich.
