The University of Illinois Springfield men's soccer team fell to Lewis on Sunday by a 2-0 score in the conference opener for both teams.

UIS outshot Lewis by a 12-7 margin, and had seven corner kicks in the game, compared to just two for the Flyers. The Prairie Stars couldn't get any shots in the goal, however. The Prairie Stars had four shots on goal, all in the second half, but Lewis was able to save them all.

Pijus Petkevicius took the loss in goal, and he made one save.
Mario Falsone and
Drew Keller both had two shots in the game.

UIS is now 2-2-0 on the young season. The Prairie Stars have their home conference opener next Friday against Lindenwood.
