The University of Illinois Springfield baseball team dropped the final game of its series with Drury on Monday afternoon in Springfield, Ill. The Prairie Stars fell by a 13-3 margin.

Both teams scored three times in the first inning, but that would be it for the Prairie Stars offense on the day. Drury, meanwhile, scored 10 more times between the third and fifth innings to get its only win in the three-game series.

John Sechen homered in the first and
Nick Wisz had a RBI. The other runs were scored by
Ruben Markham and
Austin Alderman. Wisc had two of the team's six hits.
Mason Coon had the best pitching performance on the day for UIS, throwing the final two innings and not allowing a hit. He walked one and struck out one.

UIS falls to 18-8-1 on the season and 9-6 in GLVC play. The Prairie Stars have a road doubleheader on Wednesday in Romeoville, Ill.
