The University of Illinois Springfield women's basketball team travels to Romeoville, Ill. on Tuesday for a 5:30 p.m. game against Lewis. The contest is the conference opener for both programs.

Illinois Springfield has had an exciting start to the year, with two overtime wins and one other game decided by five points. The Prairie Stars are 4-2 overall, despite a 61-58 loss to Kentucky State last Tuesday at TRAC.

Lewis is currently 3-4, including three losses in its last four games. The Flyers fell to Ferris State on Sunday by an 88-69 margin.

The Flyers lead the GLVC with a .785 free-throw percentage, while UIS is third with a .735 mark. The Prairie Stars attempt  25.2 free throws a game, while Lewis is averaging 11.3 attempts a contest.
